London International Airport Receives Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Health Accreditation

Tuesday, July 20 2021

The Accreditation reflects London International’s commitment to a safe airport experience during the COVID-19 pandemic.

LONDON, ON – London International Airport is pleased to announce they have been accredited under the Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Health Accreditation program.

ACI’s Airport Health Accreditation program assists airports by assessing new health measures and procedures introduced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Areas of assessment for accreditation include cleaning and disinfection, physical distancing (where feasible and practical), staff protection, physical layout, passenger communications and passenger facilities.

“Keeping our passengers, airport partners and staff safe during the pandemic has been the number one priority for us” says Michael Seabrook, President & CEO of London International. “This accreditation reflects our commitment to ensuring we’re doing our part in keeping the journey through our airport a safe and comfortable one as people begin to travel again”.

The accreditation has been received following the implementation of London International’s Flight Path to Recovery program, an initiative that communicates the safety measures in place at the Airport for safe travel. Through infographics on social media, the Airport’s website, terminal signage and digital signage, London International keeps passengers informed on what to expect as they pass through the Airport to ensure an easy and comfortable experience during COVID-19.
