Police investigate suspicious package at airport

Police located a problematic item in luggage during a routine screening process.
LONDON, ON - On Tuesday, February 6, 2018, while staff at the London International Airport were screening luggage, they located what they believed to be a hand grenade inside one of the bags. London Police attended to investigate the suspicious package, and it was quickly determined to be a metal belt buckle in the shape of a hand grenade.
While it isn't illegal to carry or wear grenade-shaped belt buckles, it does cause a problem while trying to pass through security at airports and other areas. The passenger decided to surrender the belt and buckle to be destroyed.
